1. Who We Are

UPROAR is an AI-powered platform built for independent artists of color. We provide tools to help artists plan exhibitions and pop-ups, price their work, manage inventory, and execute shows from concept to opening night. UPROAR runs in your web browser; there is no app to download.

2. Information We Collect

Beta sign-ups: When you enter your email on our website to get beta access, we collect your email address and the date and time you signed up.

Your account: You sign in with your Google account. Google shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us. We never see or store your Google password.

What you enter in UPROAR: Everything you choose to add, such as your project answers (your medium, city and state, experience level, budget, and dates) and your plans and tasks. As each tool becomes available during the beta, this also includes the pieces in your Work Inventory (titles, sizes, prices, status, and buyer names you choose to record), your budget, your Artist Profile (name, link, bio, artist statement, portfolio images, and exhibition history), your email settings, and your conversations with Creative Counsel.

Usage information: Basic technical information our hosting and database providers record to run and secure the service, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of each request.

Payments: UPROAR is free during the beta and collects no payment information. If we add paid plans later, payments will be processed by Stripe. We will never store your card number, CVV, or full billing address, and we will update this policy before paid plans launch.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and run your account, and to save your projects and everything you add.
• To power Creative Counsel’s answers about your work and your project.
• To send emails you have asked for, such as a welcome email, a weekly plan email, deadline reminders, and UPROAR updates. You can stop any of them with the unsubscribe link in the email.
• To understand which cities and artist needs to prioritize, using aggregated information.
• To keep UPROAR secure and working.
• To comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share it with ad networks or data brokers. Ever.

4. How We Share Your Information

• Service providers: We use Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database, sign-in, and file storage), Google (sign-in), Anthropic (Creative Counsel), and Resend (email delivery). Each provider may use your data only to provide services to UPROAR.
• Anthropic: When you use Creative Counsel, your messages and the project details Counsel needs (such as your city, medium, budget, and plan) are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate responses. Counsel may also search the web to answer your questions. Anthropic’s use of this data is governed by its commercial terms and Privacy Policy.
• Your public profile: Your Artist Profile is private unless you choose to publish it. If you publish it, anyone with the link can see your name, medium, city, bio, artist statement, portfolio images, and exhibition history. Your inventory, prices, budget, and Counsel conversations are never public.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect safety.
• Business transfers: If UPROAR is acquired, we will notify you before your data is transferred and give you the option to delete your account.

5. Email Communications

We may send you a welcome email when you create an account. If weekly plan emails are on, we send your plan for the week each Monday. Deadline reminders and UPROAR updates are optional. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. We do not use deceptive subject lines.

Emails are sent from hello@uproarapp.co. If you do not see our emails in your primary inbox, please check your spam or promotions folder and mark us as “Not Spam.”

6. Security

• In transit: All data is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS).
• At rest: Your data is stored encrypted (AES-256) by Supabase.
• Access: Database rules ensure each artist can only reach their own information.
• Passwords: UPROAR has no passwords. You sign in with Google.
• Payment: UPROAR collects no payment information during the beta.

7. Data Retention

• Beta sign-up emails: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Account data: Kept while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account.
• Usage logs: Kept by our providers for a limited time for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, download, and delete your data. Most of your information can be edited directly in UPROAR. To exercise any right, email hello@uproarapp.co with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We respond within 30 days.

To unsubscribe: Click the unsubscribe link in any UPROAR email. One click. No hoops.

To delete your data: Email hello@uproarapp.co with the subject “Delete My Data.” We will permanently delete your information within 30 days and confirm by email.

9. California Residents — CCPA

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. UPROAR does not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, email hello@uproarapp.co with the subject “CCPA Request.” We respond within 45 days. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

10. Children’s Privacy

UPROAR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact hello@uproarapp.co and we will delete it promptly.

11. Cookies & Tracking

UPROAR uses only essential cookies that keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before changes take effect and post a notice on the site. Your continued use of UPROAR constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
