1. Who We Are

UPROAR is an AI-powered platform built for independent artists of color. We provide tools to help artists plan exhibitions and pop-ups, price their work, manage inventory, and execute shows from concept to opening night.

2. Information We Collect

Waitlist signups (current phase): When you join our waitlist, we collect your first name, email address, and your answers to four optional questions: your primary medium, your city, your show experience level, and what you need most right now. We also record the date and time of signup.

Platform accounts (upon launch): When the full platform launches, we will collect account information (name, email, password stored as an encrypted hash), profile information (city, artistic medium, experience level), project data you choose to enter, and usage data used only to improve the platform.

Payment information (upon launch): Payments will be processed by Stripe. We will never store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing address directly. We retain only your Stripe customer ID and transaction history.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the waitlist and notify you when UPROAR opens in your city.
• To send you the free Show Planning Starter guide you requested at signup.
• To send product updates and city launch announcements (you can unsubscribe anytime).
• To understand which cities and artist needs to prioritize.
• To improve UPROAR using aggregated, anonymized analytics.
• To comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share it with ad networks or data brokers. Ever.

4. How We Share Your Information

• Service providers: We use Mailchimp (optional email delivery) and Supabase (database, upon platform launch). Each provider is prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to UPROAR.
• Anthropic (upon platform launch): When you use Creative Counsel, your messages and project context are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic’s use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect safety.
• Business transfers: If UPROAR is acquired, we will notify you before your data is transferred and give you the option to delete your account.

5. Email Communications

By joining the waitlist, you agree to receive emails from UPROAR. These include your free Show Planning Starter, city launch announcements, and product updates. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. We do not use deceptive subject lines.

Emails are sent from hello@uproarapp.co. If you do not see our emails in your primary inbox, please check your spam or promotions folder and mark us as “Not Spam.”

6. Security

• In transit: All data is encrypted using TLS 1.3.
• At rest (upon platform launch): AES-256 encryption via Supabase.
• Passwords: Stored using bcrypt hashing. Never in plain text.
• Payment: Processed by Stripe. We never store card data directly.

7. Data Retention

• Waitlist data: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Account data (upon launch): Duration of account plus 30 days after deletion.
• Payment records (upon launch): 7 years as required by law.
• Usage logs: Anonymized and aggregated after 90 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. To exercise any right, email hello@uproarapp.co with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We respond within 30 days.

To unsubscribe: Click the unsubscribe link in any UPROAR email. One click. No hoops.

To delete your data: Email hello@uproarapp.co with the subject “Delete My Data.” We will permanently delete your information within 30 days and confirm by email.

9. California Residents — CCPA

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. UPROAR does not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, email hello@uproarapp.co with the subject “CCPA Request.” We respond within 45 days. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

10. Children’s Privacy

UPROAR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact hello@uproarapp.co and we will delete it promptly.

11. Cookies & Tracking

The UPROAR waitlist page uses only essential session cookies required for WordPress to function. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies on this site. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before changes take effect and post a notice on the site. Your continued use of UPROAR constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
